These terms apply when you use our website or enrol on a course with TFEC Training FZ-LLC, trading as The Financial Education Company ("we", "us", "our"). We are a free zone company licensed by the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone Authority (RAKEZ), licence number 52000640, and we operate from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The course
Our self-paced course prepares you for the CISI Fundamentals of Financial Services exam. It includes video lessons, quizzes, practice questions, mock exams, revision materials, an AI tutor, weekly live office hours and email support, as described on the course page. We may update or improve the course content from time to time.
Access
When your payment is confirmed, you will receive access to the course on our online learning platform. Your access is personal to you and must not be shared. We continue to support you until you pass the exam, provided you remain an active student and keep to these terms.
The exam
The exam is set and run by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI). You book your exam directly with the CISI and pay the exam fee to the CISI. The exam fee is not included in the course price. Exam booking, rules, results and certificates are managed by the CISI under its own terms.
Results
We will do everything we reasonably can to prepare you for the exam, but your result depends on your own study and performance on the day. We cannot guarantee that you will pass.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in UAE dirhams (AED) on our website and at checkout. You can pay in full, or in instalments through Tamara where offered at checkout. Instalment plans are provided by Tamara under its own terms, and you must keep up your payments to keep your access.
Refunds
Self-paced online courses are non-refundable. In-person courses are refundable only if we cancel the course and it does not take place, in which case you can choose either a place on another date or a full refund. Our Refund policy has the full details.
Using our content
All course materials, videos, workbooks and other content belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own personal study only. You must not copy, share, resell, record or publish them, or use them to train or build other products.
Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information when you enrol and keep your login details secure.
- Treat our team and other students with respect in live sessions and messages.
- Do not try to disrupt or misuse the website or learning platform.
We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
Not financial advice
Our courses are educational. Nothing in our courses, sessions or materials is personal financial, investment or tax advice.
Trademarks
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and CFP® are certification marks owned outside the US by Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd (FPSB). Other names and logos shown on this website belong to their owners and are used for identification only.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under UAE consumer protection law. Otherwise, our total liability to you in connection with the course is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.
Schools
Courses delivered through schools are covered by a separate agreement with the school, which takes priority over these terms where they differ.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version in force when you enrol applies to your purchase. These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates.
